Day 1: Da Nang – Hoi An (L/D)
Early morning pick-up at Da Nang Airport. Drive to visit Holyland My Son – The Lost City - Wolrd Cultural Heritage. Then transfer to Hoi An. Upon arrival, have lunch at a local restaurant, then take a wallk around Hoi An ancient city – another World Cultural Heritage recognized by UNESCO in 1999, visit famous Japanese Bridge which was built by Japanese in the early 15th century. Dinner with Hoi An specialities. Overnight in ancient Hoi An will be a very interesting experience as you can wander around and enjoy as much as you can in antique coffee shops and popular food stands.
Day 2: Hoi An – Cooking class (B/L/D)
In the morning we will drive to Tra Que Organic Village, and walk through the market gardens where local farmers working on their fields using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago – no electrical machinery here. We pick some fresh saw – tooth conriander and Vietnamese mint for our cooking lesson later, before trying a special herbal drink at a local home.
We will also purchase a range of local ingredients, including star anise, cardamon, sesame rice paper, water spinach and banana flower.
Upon arriving Red Bridge restaurant, we will have a chance to study with the restaurant Chef about the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. We will study 4 famous dishes of Vietnam.
After class we will sit down and enjoy the dishes we have prepared.
Day 3: Hoi An - Hue – Forbidden Purple (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Driving to Hue through magnificient Hai Van mountain pass, you will need to have your camera be ready to capture the outrageous beauty of the beach of Hue and Da Nang. Upon arrival, have lunch, start exloring historic Hue with Imperial Citadel, an ancient citadel recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. The citadel was the imperial capital from 1802-1945 for the Nguyen Dynasty. We will also tour the Forbidden Purple City inside the Citadel. Then drive to visit Minh Mang Tomb. Shopping at famous Dong Ba Central Market. Dinner will be a royal party with Hue special cuisines while enjoying Hue traditional music – also World Cultural Heritage.
Day 4: Hue – Quang Binh – Phong Nha Caves (B, L, D)
Early breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Phong Nha. Upon arrival, start our amazing tour around magnificient Phong Nha Caves– World Natural Heritage. Phong Nha-Ke Bang is home to the largest cave system in the world and covers 300 different grottoes and caves. We will cruise on boat to get into the caves system of Phong Nha. Overnight in Quang Binh.
Day 5: Quang Binh – Quang Tri (DMZ) - Hue (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Drivie back to Hue, on the way back, we will stop by to visit Vinh Moc tunnels, Hien Luong bridge, Ben Hai river Arrive Hue, free at own leisure.
Day 6: Hue – Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Free at own leisure until departure time.
