Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival (L/D)
Arrive in Hanoi, start travel around Ha Noi with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s former home, One Pillar Pagoda, and Temple of Literature, enjoy Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi - Ha Long (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive toVietnam’s most spectacular natural wonder, Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh. Board a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. Drop anchor for the night near a remote island. Overnight on Junk.
Day 3: Ha Long Bay - Boat Cruise – Ha Noi (B/L)
Rising to the sound of ocean coming to life for another lovely day. We will enjoy breakfast over sunrise. Then get off board and proceed back to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 4: Hanoi - Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
Breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Noi Bai International airport for your departure flight to Luang Prabang. Meet upon arrival at Luang Prabang airport, transfer and check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Vat Visoun temple with its Singhalese-style stupa, That Makmo, and Vat Aham, one of the city’s major teaching shrines housing the puppets of the Lao ancestors. Then, enjoy the sunset along the Mekong River at Vat Siphouthabath. Over night in Luang Prabang.
Day 5: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou - / Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit Vat Xieng Thong, regarded as the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang with low sweeping roofs. Take a traditional riverboat for a 2-hour cruise up the Mekong River to Pak Ou, at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers, to visit the sacred caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum, home to hundreds of Buddha statues. On the way, visit Vat Longkhoune temple, famous for its 18th century frescoes, and then Ban Xang Hai village where sticky rice wine is distilled. Return to Luang Prabang and continue by road to Ban Xang Khong weaving village where traditional mulberry leaf paper is also produced. Over night in Luang Prabang.
Day 6: Luang Prabang - Departure (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace) with its collection of personal artifacts of the Lao Royal Family. Continue to nearby Vat Mai Temple, which was the residence of a Buddhist patriarch until 1975, before climbing Phousi Hill for an outstanding view over the former Royal capital and the Mekong River.Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
